Using a hip hop beat maker program

Sonic Producer has several modules to work with while you create your own music.

Start with the mixer module. You can use this to select which sound you’re going to use. Click on the button that is labeled “sample”. A menu will pop-up so you can choose the sound sample for that music channel. The beat making software comes with hundreds of sounds samples for your use. Pick a drum sample to start making our beat.

In the sequence window, add in some drum hits to Track #1. Try putting the drum hits into the first beat of each measure across the entire song loop.

Press the play button above the sequence module to hear what you have added.

Continue doing this same thing with new drum sound samples in new mixer channels and place them in varying song tracks to make your very own rap beat.

Once you feel the drums part of your beat is sounding good, add some new channels and choose some of the other instruments and fill out your new instrumental rap beats. This is the creative part. Have fun and make your own music. Plus, you can do it online using any computer operating system.

I love to make rap beats. I have been making beats for a long time now. With a little bit of learning and practice, you can make your own rap beats.

Any hip hop beat making software will have an interface that should be easy to understand and not cluttered so you can use the tools to make your own beats.

Most often, you have a song sequencer that loops at the time you set while you cycle through making your own beats. I like to let the sequencer loop and start by adding my bass drum beats. When I’m happy with the bass drum, I add the hi-hat cymbal track. After that I keep going adding snare drum and whatever other hip hop beats I think sound good.
